Pune heritage walk takes you to Shaniwarwada the haunted fort and seat of power of the Prime Ministers of the powerful Maratha Empire which was a dominant power in India between the 17th and 19th centuries. Pay your respects at Dagdu Sheth temple of Lord Ganesh built by a sweet meat maker and which was used to galvanize the Indians to revolt against the British. Shop at Laxmi market the popular bazaar and visit Kelkar museum with one of the world’s largest one man collection.

In the 18th century the Maratha empire was very powerful and was run by the Peshwas or Prime Ministers. Peshwa Bajirao Ballal Balaji Bhat was a legendary Peshwa n whose honour this Palace was built. As fate would have it, Shaniwarwada became the most haunted place in Pune! These stories will be told during the walk.
